We’ve got a few people on the Oddly crew that have a special place in our hearts for coffees from Kenya. When harvest time rolls around every year, we get a little giddy and wait in anticipation of the bright and complex coffees that will grace our cupping table. Because coffee in Kenya is sold through auction, the best coffees will fetch higher prices. So, we usually only purchase one lot each year. Rest assured that we take our time finding one that exemplifies what we love about Kenyan coffees: bright citrus acidity, berry-like sweetness and subtle earthy complexity that makes for a vibrant but balanced cup. This year’s lot is from Gondo washing station in the town of Murang’a. Cheers!
